I Served My Country. Now I Serve Your Backyard.
Hi, I’m Tiffani: U.S. Army veteran, woman business owner, and dog mom to Luna and Snickers. I’m not a franchise or a call center. I’m the owner, and I’m the one at your gate, with two jobs every single visit: give you your yard back, and keep your dog safe while I’m in it.
Letting Someone Into Your Yard Is a Big Deal. Trusting Them Around Your Dog Is Bigger.
You’re handing a stranger your gate code and your backyard, the same backyard where your dog sleeps in the sun and your kids run barefoot. And if you book a walk, you’re handing over the leash of a family member who can’t tell you how their day went.
Maybe you’ve already been burned: the service that never showed, the “cleaned” yard with piles still hiding by the fence, the gate left unlatched, the price that crept up every month. You shouldn’t have to babysit the person you hired to make your life easier.
That’s exactly why I built Scoop Dog the way I did, and why I’ll show you my whole process below instead of asking you to take my word for it.
Two Dogs, One Backyard Minefield, and a Very Clear Mission
I live right here in Zephyrhills with Luna and Snickers. Luna’s the polite one. Snickers... is not. Between the two of them, my backyard turned into a minefield faster than I ever expected. I’d step out barefoot with my coffee and regret it immediately.
I tried the “I’ll just do it every morning” plan. It lasted about four days. Life gets busy, work happens, and the yard always loses. Then the Florida heat shows up, the smell hits, and the flies move in.
Then I started reading about what was actually sitting out there. Not just an eyesore. Roundworm and hookworm eggs that survive in soil for years, bacteria that spread every time it rains, and the exact grass my own dogs lie down in. That stopped being a chore I was behind on and started being something I wasn’t willing to leave.
So I built the service I wished I could hire: a woman-owned, veteran-owned local business that shows up on time, does the job right the first time, and treats your yard and your dog with real respect. Today Scoop Dog serves families in Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, Land O' Lakes, San Antonio, Dade City, Lutz, New Tampa and Plant City.
Here’s Exactly What Happens on Every Visit
No mystery, no “trust me.” This is the same routine in every yard, every week, whether you’re home watching or three hundred miles away.
- 1
You Get a Heads-Up
Your visit lands on the same day every week, and you get a text when I’m on the way. No guessing, no waiting around, no stranger appearing unannounced.
- 2
The Gate Gets Checked First
Before anything else, I check that your gate and fence line are secure. If your dog is outside, I let you know so we can keep them safely inside while I work.
- 3
I Grid-Search the Whole Yard
I walk your yard in overlapping lines, the way the Army taught me to clear ground: fence lines, mulch beds, under bushes, behind the AC unit. Not just the obvious middle.
- 4
Everything Leaves With Me
All waste is bagged and hauled away in my truck. Nothing goes in your trash can to sit and cook in the Florida heat until pickup day.
- 5
Tools Get Disinfected
My scooping gear is cleaned between every single home, so parasites and bacteria from another dog’s yard never arrive in yours.
- 6
You Get Proof It’s Done
Before I leave, your gate gets latched, photographed and texted to you. You see the closed gate with your own eyes before you ever get home.
Add a walk to your yard cleanup from just $9.99, about half the price of a standalone walk, and your dog gets a clean yard and a good day out of the same visit.
What the Army Taught Me, and Why It Matters in Your Yard
The Army doesn’t care how a job looks. It cares whether the job got done, done right, and done on time. I run Scoop Dog the same way, because your dog can’t tell you when someone cut a corner.
I Show Up When I Say I Will
In the Army, “on time” means early. Your visit is on a set day, and you get a text when it’s done. No no-shows, no excuses, no disappearing for three weeks.
Mission Complete Means Every Inch
A half-cleaned yard isn’t a finished job. If a pile is hiding behind the shed, your barefoot kid will find it before you do. So I don’t leave until it’s all gone.
Your Dog’s Safety Is the Whole Job
Waste left sitting carries roundworm and hookworm eggs that survive in soil for years. Removing it every week is the simplest protection your dog has.
Integrity, Even When No One’s Watching
Flat-rate pricing you see before you book. No surprise fees, no upsells, no long contracts. My word is the deal, and in the Army your word is everything.
“Wait, You Scoop the Yard and Walk My Dog?”
It’s a fair question, and I’d ask it too. Here’s the honest answer: the dirty work and your dog never touch.
Scooping is done first, with dedicated tools and work gloves. Those gloves come off, my hands get sanitized and the tools get stowed in the truck before I ever pick up your leash, touch your dog or reach for your door handle. Gear is disinfected between homes, so nothing from another yard rides along into yours.
On the walk itself, I check the pavement with the back of my hand before we go. If it’s too hot for my skin, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws, and we shift to grass, shade or a shorter route. You get a photo of your happy pup when we’re back.
